The next day, Vincent has to agreed to accompany and serve as a bodyguard for Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman), Marcellus’s wife. While he try to entertains her, she mistakes his heroine for cocaïne and he finds her while she is overdosing. Vincent knows that saving her life is the only way to save his own skin. Meanwhile, Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis) is a boxer that has been corrupted by Marcellus Wallace to lose a fight. Butch doesn’t want to do it and accidentaly kills his opponent. He tries to escape the city but Marcellus spots him and chase him into a pawnshop. However, they are captured by the two rednecks that manage the pawnshop who want to torture them and rape them. In the meantime, Jules Winnfield has a revelation and thinks God sends him a sign to go out of his life of crime.

Pulp Fiction is about several criminal stories that meet each other set in Los Angeles, the city where Quentin Tarantino grew up. Its title is referring to the pulps magazines, fiction magazines from the first half of the 20th century telling hardboiled stories with strong dialogue and graphic violence. The way all stories meet each other even with the unorthodox non-chronological narration and the unforgettable dialogues make Pulp Fiction the masterpiece of Quentin Tarantino’s genius career. Pulp Fiction even won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Festival in 1994. Interestingly enough, after the script of the movie was refused by a major studio because it was too demented, the infamous Harvey Weinstein took interested in the movie and it was the first one his studio fully financed. Nowadays, a lot of critics and people from the audience put Pulp Fiction on their shortlist for the best movie ever made.
